Kassandra spent eight years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where she built complex financial models for billion-dollar transactions. Her specialty lies in making intricate valuation concepts accessible to students. She's particularly passionate about teaching the nuances of discounted cash flow analysis—something she believes separates good analysts from great ones. Outside of finance, she collects vintage calculators and has a surprising talent for mental arithmetic that often amazes her students during live sessions.

Before joining vorynthaqel in early 2023, Dmitri managed quantitative strategies at BlackRock for six years. His background in mathematical finance helps students understand the statistical foundations behind financial models. He's known for his ability to explain complex probability distributions using everyday analogies—his coffee brewing metaphor for normal distributions has become legendary among our students. Dmitri also maintains our Python curriculum and frequently updates our content to reflect current market conditions.

Our Journey in Financial Education

From Wall Street offices to online classrooms, here's how vorynthaqel evolved into Australia's premier financial modeling education platform.

2020

Founded with a Clear Vision

Started by former investment bankers who noticed a gap between academic finance education and real-world modeling skills. Our founders had spent countless hours training new analysts and realized there had to be a better way to teach these crucial skills.

2022

Expanded Beyond Basics

Introduced advanced courses covering leveraged buyout modeling and merger analysis. We also began incorporating Python programming into our curriculum, recognizing the growing importance of automation in financial analysis.

2024

Industry Partnerships

Formed relationships with several Perth-based financial firms who now regularly hire our graduates. We also launched our mentorship program, connecting students with working professionals across Australia's financial sector.

What Drives Our Teaching Philosophy

We believe financial modeling is both an art and a science. While the mathematical foundations remain constant, the application requires judgment, creativity, and real-world experience that can't be learned from textbooks alone.

Practical Experience

Every exercise in our courses is based on real transactions and scenarios we've encountered in our careers. We don't believe in theoretical problems that have no connection to actual financial analysis work.

Individual Attention

Small class sizes mean every student gets personalized feedback. We review actual models built by students and provide detailed commentary on both technical accuracy and professional presentation standards.

Continuous Evolution

Financial markets change constantly, and so do best practices in modeling. We update our curriculum quarterly based on current market conditions and feedback from industry contacts who hire our graduates.
